This $500 scholarship was created in fond memory of AGR brother Jonathan Warden, Texas A & M class of 1997. On September 18, 1999, the Texas A&M community suffered a tragic loss when five members of the A&M skydiving club, including 25 year old Jonathan Warden, were killed when their aircraft went down near Bryan, TX. Jonathan was a model Aggie, involved in many campus activities including the Aggies Over Texas Skydivers Club, the College of Agriculture, and the A&M Church of Christ. Jonathan served AGR as its chaplain and was its leader in prayer and spirituality throughout his time with the chapter. He continued his close relationship with his brothers after receiving his degree in Agriculture Development, offering his time and service to new brothers during their AGR education. Jonathan will live long in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew him and his passion for his family, life, and God is something all AGR brothers can be proud of. His Aggie Ring is proudly on display for all to remember at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center.
